St Basil Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church Melbourne Incorporated (Regd No A0101789R, ABN 73 721 206 031) respects the privacy of every person who worships with us, applies for membership, or contacts the parish.

What we collect. We collect only the information needed for parish life: contact details you provide, membership application details (including dates of birth, gender, an emergency contact's name and phone number, and information about religious affiliation such as membership of another Jacobite church — treated as sensitive information), and messages you send us.

How we use it. Personal information is used to assess membership applications, maintain the parish register, respond to enquiries, and communicate parish matters. It is accessible only to authorised parish officers, is never sold, and is not shared outside the Church except as required by law.

How we protect it. Records are stored securely with access controls and audit trails. Unsuccessful or withdrawn applications and contact messages are deleted after a defined retention period.

Photographs. Images of parish life are published only with consent; see our safeguarding page for how to request removal of any image.

Your rights. You may ask what information we hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion, by emailing stbasiljacobitechurchmelbourne@gmail.com.
